Quick Tip 64: Camera & Environment Studios

by | Feb 27, 2018 | 0 comments

KeyShot Multi-Materials is a KeyShot Pro feature that allows you to apply any combination of materials quickly to any part. This quick tip shows you how to use it to facilitate non-destructive material swapping, variations and color studies.

This KeyShot Quick Tip shows you how to create a Studio and tie together a Camera and Environment in a few easy steps. This is a KeyShot Pro feature and similar to how Viewsets were created in prior versions of KeyShot.

This explains how to use the ‘Add Camera and Environment Studio’ button you’ll see in the Camera or Environment tab, along with the ‘Add Locked’ and ‘Add

How to Create a Camera and Environment Studio:
1) Add your environment
2) Adjust your camera view
3) Select ‘Add Camera and Environment Studio’ and choose ‘Add Locked’ (if you like the Environment and Camera settings)

What happens when you do this? Three things:
1) A Environment was made with the settings chosen
2) A Camera was made with the settings chosen
3) A Studio was created using the new Camera and Environment

Want different lighting? Repeat the process:
1) Adjust your environment in the Environment tab
2) Adjust your camera view in the Camera tab
3) Select ‘Add Camera and Environment Studio’, ‘Add Locked’
