It’s been a busy month of events and preparing for the launch of KeyShot 4.1, so you can bet we’re excited to kick off the summer and the final week of June with some big news. Next week we’ll be at Solid Edge University 2013 in Cincinnati, Ohio for the user event going on June 24 – 27th at the Cincinnati Marriott Rivercenter. We’ll be in a cozy booth demonstrating KeyShot on BOXX computers, showing new features and sharing more about KeyShot’s unique capabilities and how you can use it throughout the product design process to create stunning visuals. What else do we have on tap for next week?

KeyShot 4.1

You’ve seen a few of the features coming to KeyShot 4.1. Among them are new procedural textures, toon shading and focused caustics. Next week we’ll be releasing the new version of KeyShot and revealing a few more features in the new release. Free updates will be available here for all users on subscription. If the new features are just what you’re looking for, KeyShot can always be purchased in our store or via sales@www.keyshot.com.

GrabCAD integration

We’ve announced the new GrabCAD integration. Next week, you’ll be able to experience it with the release of 4.1. GrabCAD will be on site at the event, speaking to the Solid Edge users and sharing details at the KeyShot booth about how people can benefit from the integration. Plus, we’ll be kicking off a new rendering challenge with GrabCAD to introduce one of the unique new features of KeyShot 4.1.

A special announcement

Also at Solid Edge University, we’ll be making a special announcement with Siemens PLM. If you’re a user of Solid Edge you’ll want to keep an eye out Tuesday morning to see exactly what the announcement is going to be. As you may know, KeyShot is already able to directly import Solid Edge part, assembly and sheet metal files. We’ll take guesses in the comments and if you’re around on Monday, stop by the booth and tell us what your think it is as well!

We’ll see you soon at Solid Edge University and if you’re wondering about the local attractions, things to do and places to eat, check out all Cincinnati has to offer here. Our personal favorites are live music at Fountain Square, the Findlay Market foods and strolling along the Banks down to Jefferson Social for a brew. See you at SEU13!
