Virtual KeyShot World 2020 – ‘9 Days of KeyShot 9’ Recap

by | Apr 3, 2020 | 0 comments

Virtual KeyShot World 2020 is all wrapped-up and with nearly 3000 attending across the ‘9 Days of KeyShot 9’ event and thousands more viewing on YouTube, it was an absolute success!

We were so excited to be able to bring many of the speakers and workshops slated for KeyShot World in Huntington Beach to a wider audience around the world and, from the response, you were as well. We would like to thank all who attended, our presenters, our product sponsors, and the people behind the scenes who helped make it happen!

KeyShot World Live Sessions

Virtual KeyShot World 2020 featured a series of 15 streaming live sessions and giveaways each day from our product sponsors who included 3D Off The Page, GoPro, NVIDIA, and Stanley Black & Decker. We were able to host nearly all the sessions originally slated for KeyShot World, opening registration to anyone who wanted to attend. In total, we had 12 speakers each presenting from their homes.

With this, we were able to livestream the sessions and provide the recording immediately after the broadcast. We’ve made all of those available on the KeyShot World website and in a playlist on the KeyShot YouTube channel.

KeyShot World RenderWeekly Render Contest

Over the ‘9 Days of KeyShot 9’ we teamed up with RenderWeekly for two render competitions. The first week challenged everyone to render-up the KeyShot material ball in new and creative ways. The second week opened up the challenge to use any model from the KeyShot Cloud model library. With over 500 images submitted the first week and hundreds more still coming in for the second week, we’re still going through all the amazing entries! Here’s just a taste of a few renders submitted by the RenderWeekly community.

We didn’t want to let the coronavirus pandemic, the KeyShot World cancellation, or the work from home mandates stand in the way of bringing KeyShot World to you. We’re so glad you were part of it. From all the sudden challenges, we learned a lot and have new ideas about bringing you content wherever you might be. Stay tuned for more and we look forward to seeing you at the next Virtual KeyShot World!
