Our development team has been known to do an awkward little dance occasionally. With the release of KeyShot 3 it happened. And, last night it happened again with the release of the new and improved KeyShot plugins. They’re now updated to work in glorious 3D importing bliss, taking your models directly from SolidWorks, Pro/E, Creo, Rhino and SketchUp right into both KeyShot 2 and KeyShot 3. As K.C. & The Sunshine would say, Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo, Get down, get down, get down, get down, Get down tonight!
KeyShot plugins
The KeyShot plugins are absolutely free. You’ll just need one of the supported software packages to get them running. The main feature of all the plugins is that it will allow you to import your models with both the colors you assigned to it and the assembly/group/layer structure you gave it. Along with this KeyShot 3.0.9 is out with some updates to materials, animations and licensing. Be sure to pick that up and stop by the plugin page to snag one of the importers.
