SpaceClaim Brings the Rendering Speed with KeyShot for SpaceClaim Engineer

by | Jun 24, 2014 | 0 comments

Today, we continue the integration onslaught of KeyShot into the most popular 3D modeling systems with SpaceClaim breaking the news that KeyShot has been chosen as the integrated rendering solution for SpaceClaim Engineer. SpaceClaim is extremely flexible software with a Direct Modeling approach and the release of SpaceClaim 2014 SP2 adds to this by integrating ‘KeyShot for SpaceClaim’ and with it, the ability to apply KeyShot materials models inside SpaceClaim, then send them to KeyShot to apply lighting, set up cameras and take screenshots of the rendered image.  All of this is available at no charge to SpaceClaim users on subscription and is included in all new customer licenses. Here are more details!

KeyShot for SpaceClaim

Along with being able to apply materials inside SpaceClaim and send the model to KeyShot with all materials and structure intact, you can now send updates to your SpaceClaim model to KeyShot through Luxion’s LiveLinking technology. This updates the model in KeyShot for any parts that have changed on the model in SpaceClaim, adding new parts as well.

With the release of SpaceClaim 2014 SP2, you receive a free ‘Lite’ edition of KeyShot that’s integrated into SpaceClaim. KeyShot is still a separate application, however, you won’t need to install any plugin. The Lite edition has all the features as KeyShot HD, except a limitation of 800×600 real-time resolution, import through SpaceClaim only and no saving of scenes or materials. Two other editions are available, KeyShot for SpaceClaim HD and KeyShot for SpaceClaim Pro that contain the complete features and options for those editions of KeyShot. You can see a breakdown of each edition at www.keyshot.com/spaceclaim.

If you’re new to using KeyShot, you can find KeyShot tutorials and quick tips, along with our webinar archives in our Learning section.
