Customer of The Month: Fossil

by | May 1, 2013 | 0 comments

We’re excited to have Fossil as KeyShot Customer of the Month. We’ve been working with Fossil for a while now, seeing how the iconic brand transforms ideas into the incredible vintage design adored around the world. You know them for their watches, of course, but they also produce an eclectic range of other lifestyle and fashion accessories like handbags, jewelry, clothing, wallets and an array of gear for your tech. We asked Brad Piercey, Design Development Manager at Fossil, to fill us in on how KeyShot is used and where it’s used in the process.

Visualizing Vintage

Using KeyShot is part of Fossil’s 3D initiative, an initiative that has substantially reduced sample lead times as well as revisions. “KeyShot adds to the level of detail with delicate hand-crafted items like watch dials and leather straps.” Brad says, “Rubber and silicone straps have also become streamlined with the use of the new texture library and the effortless texture mapping insures our design team is properly vetting out each hardware decision made along the process.”
