antonio-pinforAntonio Pinfor is a creator of product with 30 years of experience in the area of Habitat and more than 500 projects for architecture, interior design, construction and industry. As Builder, architect and interior designer has done: offices, hotels, commercial, housing developments, restaurants and built more than 200 houses. He has also participated, as a collaborator of professional studies, in unique projects such as the Puerto de la Luz on Las Palmas, the promenades of El Arenal and Xàbia , Resort Marriott La Sella Denia, as well as various urban projects in the high sea of the Valencian Community.

Complimented by his technical training and natural predisposition to creativity, Antonio credits his creative origins to his family who were always engaged in the building of houses and the production of tools. It was in the early 80’s where his interest in engineering and product design really developed. “PINFOR™ goes back to 1980 when I finished my studies in Technical Architecture when I started to design and build townhouses.” Antonio says, “I was directing the planning and construction and, as a touch of originality, I began to design furniture and exclusive items the projects. Thereafter, a manufacturer of household products in Alicante (Spain) saw my work and asked me to design products exclusively for them. I have since evolved from architectural and interior design to specific domestic product design, leaning on a multidisciplinary team at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the University of Seville, to aid in the process.”

When he began, AutoCAD or 3D Studio Max was the 3D modeling and drafting too of choice, later turning to the use of Unigraphic NX in the 90’s. Currently, with the addition of his team of specialists in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Seville, he has started new developments using CATIA V5 complemented with NX 5.4.

KeyShot was “love at first sight”. It is the simplest and most complete program I’ve ever used.”

Antonio describes his process as bringing originality and simplicity to the practical use of everyday objects, prioritizing function over sophistication. KeyShot is part of this process, serving as the key component to present the design, “In the new stage of PINFOR™ with the addition of a younger team who is better equipped technologically, we’ve incorporated KeyShot as the main tool for the presentation of our creations. Personally, coming from 3D Studio Max, KeyShot was “love at first sight”. It is the simplest and most complete program I’ve ever used (and I used a lot in these 30 years in the profession). Henceforth, it will be our main tool of visual expression.”

Most recently, they have used KeyShotVR to bring an extra level of interaction to their designs, “I fell in love instantly with KeyShotVR. The new (and desired) KeyShotVR add-on is the ultimate tool to present and interact with 3D geometry in multiple degrees of freedom. As product design professionals, I feel that this tool will further enhance our use of KeyShot.”

Having recently incorporated KeyShot they are now discovering its potential and eager to see the potential of KeyShot to present more complex 3D data. Importing geometry generated in NX and CATIA for existing projects. Some highlights are the Morfos XXL bicycle whose size adapts and lengthens with the size of the rider, the SevillaSol® solar bicycle city, BesoEvolution®, the BesoBandera redesign and creating the most successful international Kurzbiko® jewelry line.
