Enter The 2015 CG Student Awards

The sixth annual CG Student Awards is under way with the Call for Entries now open to students and recent grads around the world. This year, Luxion joins in sponsorship of the event that features the largest gathering of digital artist across the wide expanse of the CG industry. If you’re a CG student who attended an accredited course between January 2014 and May 2015 you’re eligible to enter your work. There have always been a lot of submissions to the Awards and with $360,000 in prizes this year, including 25 Studio Internships, and $96 in prizes for each entry, 2015 is sure to be one of the largest CG Award events yet. Here are all the details.

The 2015 CG Student Awards

Eligibility: All computer graphics students worldwide that attended an accredited course between January 2014 – May 2015 are eligible to enter.

Acceptable Courses: Computer Animation, Bachelor of Computer Graphics, Animation and Interactive Media, Game Design and Development, 3D Computer Animation, Digital Effects, Computer Visualisation, Computer Science, Visual Effect (VFX) Courses. All other courses with similar curriculum are deemed suitable.

Judging: The judges are looking for any of the following skills, but not limited to: Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Pre-visualisation, Architectural Visualisation, Animation, Lighting, Compositing, Live Action, Character Animation, Editing, Concept Art, Coding, R&D, Game Design, and Game Development.

  • Film of the Year
  • Game of the Year
  • People’s Choice
  • Bootcamp Placements (Internships)

Submissions: Entries to the CG Student Awards can be submitted online at cgstudentawards.com. Entries close May 13th, 2015. See the latest entries here.
