Germain Baillot shared an incredible watch concept this week on the KeyShot forum. The unique design stands out for sure, but the animation he created drives home the beauty in the functionality of the piece.

Modeled in Alias Surface, and rendered/animated in KeyShot. With its vertical tourbillon, the watch indicates the time by hour and minute/second markings on the outer drums, while the center drum displays the major time zones. The capstan on each end unscrews with crown popping out to adjust the watch. The animation shows all of this beautifully of course, with lighting and materials that make the design both physically alluring and technically astounding.
