by | Aug 8, 2013 | 0 comments

The time has come to fire up a fresh, new version of Solid Edge ST6, download the new KeyShot plugin and turn that multi-colored model geometry into beautiful photorealistic images and animations. We announced the Solid Edge integration earlier this summer, showing it at Solid Edge University prior to the release of Solid Edge ST6 in July. Now, Solid Edge ST6 is indeed out, beta testing is done and the new KeyShot plugin for SolidEdge with LiveLinking is available for download.

KeyShot Plugin for Solid Edge

The KeyShot plugin for Solid Edge brings new possibilities to the design process. Creating high quality images, animations and interactive visuals is just the start. To recap on what the plugin allows you to do, with it installed, you can launch KeyShot directly from the Solid Edge interface, automatically sending both the design, assembly structure and any assigned colors over to to KeyShot. Along with this, the KeyShot plugin implements our LiveLinking tech which allows you to push any changes you make in the Solid Edge design directly back into KeyShot without losing any of the material assignments, animations, lighting or camera settings.

It’s a seamless workflow and only available through the free plugin you can download from the KeyShot Plugins page. You can also view more info, download the plugin, find support info and a list of FAQ’s here: http://www.keyshot.com/solid-edge/.
