New Compatibility Between KeyShot 5 and PTC Creo 3.0

Fresh news from Luxion today. We’re out at PTC Live Global this week where PTC Creo 3.0 was just announced. With that, we’re announcing updated integration between KeyShot 5 and Creo 3.0. You can see the press release here. PTC Creo 3.0 is introducing Unite Technology that allows users to import 3d data from other software. If you’re a user of KeyShot you can see how this complements KeyShot’s ability to import the widest range of 3D file formats of any rendering systems, and if you’re a user of PTC Creo, you can see how this can speed up your workflow by importing data to PTC Creo and rendering in KeyShot with LiveLinking updating your model when the geometry changes in Creo.

Here’s what Michael Campbell, PTC’s Executive VP, CAD Segment, had to say about the integration. “We are very pleased to have Luxion as a PTC ® PartnerAdvantage ™ partner, bringing rich visuals to the PTC Creo platform with their 3D rendering and animation solution. Our users face different challenges in the product development process with the need to produce visuals throughout. With PTC Creo 3.0 and the updated KeyShot plugin for PTC Creo, we are convinced that the development process will be smoother than ever before, from concept to manufacturing, and beyond.”

This integration is available as a free plugin you can download here. It’s compatible with PTC Creo 3.0 and the new version of KeyShot 5, but will also work with previous versions of PTC Creo. Additionally, a KeyShot and PTC Creo bundle is available to students and faculty through the PTC Web store.
