This year, we’re proud to be part of Rapid Jewelry design contest and nationally-traveling fashion show to feature the top designers in rapid prototyping and jewelry. Organized by Design Museum Boston, this event will happen over the next year, with events across the USA. Here are the details.

Call for Entries opens: February 9, 2015
Entries due by: April 3, 2015 @ 11:59pm PT
Winners Announced: May 23, 2015

Join us for a special fashion show featuring the finalists and winners of Rapid Jewelry on May 23, 2015 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel Imperial Ballroom.

PRIZES

  • 3 winning entries receive cash prizes: 1st prize, $2,000; 2nd prize, $1000; 3rd prize, $500
  • All entries featured in an online gallery
  • Finalist 3D printed and featured in a nationally-traveling fashion show, exhibition, and retail experience — in retail finalist will receive royalties on the sale of their pieces.

Registration Fees:

  • $15 for students
  • $25 for DMB & SNAG members
  • $40 for non-members

After completing the registration form, within 1 business day, you will receive your registration number, link to entry form, and invitation to a Dropbox folder where you will submit you files, along with a 60-day trial version of Keyshot 5, which we recommend using to create photo-realistic renderings for your entry.register_now

FASHION SHOW

Design Museum Boston’s Rapid Jewelry Fashion Show will be an immersive & exciting experience, highlighting the finalists of their international jewelry design competition! The Fashion Show will be held in the Imperial Ballroom at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, and in partnership with Society of North American Goldsmiths. Urbanity Dance will be modeling the jewelry pieces, hosted by emcee Alexander Zafris, and local female DJ– DJ DayGlow will spin the night away! Mingle with Boston’s fashion & design communities, and experience the collection of 3D-Printed Jewelry first hand! General admission tickets & VIP Balcony experience tickets on sale today!
