Plugins:

KeyShot can be accessed through a plugin directly from within certain applications. Depending on the application, the entire geometry along with its structure, colors, and cameras are being transferred to KeyShot. In seconds. Please note that all plugins are currently only supported on Windows.

Creo

The plugin for Creo integrates nicely with the ribbon UI to give access to KeyShot with the click of a button. You have the ability to import your entire assembly, an individual part or a simplified representation of you assembly. The entire structure of your model is maintained, hidden parts and layers stay hidden and all colors are maintained, at the part level or assembly level, you decide. Best of all, your saved views can be transferred with the geometry if you like. The plugin is the fastest way to get your Creo geometry into KeyShot for the most realistic images you’ve ever created.

Pro/Engineer

This plugin is similar to the plugin for Creo, but with fewer options. While the entire geometry is transferred, and the assembly structure is beautifully maintained, only colors assigned at the part level are maintained. Other than that, transferring the data from Pro/ENGINEER to KeyShot is just as fast.

Rhinoceros 3D

The plugin for Rhinoceros works its magic by putting the KeyShot button right into the plugin menu in the main toolbar. Whether you organized your model using layers or simply left everything on the main layer, breaking out the individual pieces by color, this plugin will open KeyShot with the click of a button and transfer your Rhino model in seconds. Inside KeyShot, all layers and layer names are nicely maintained, along with the colors that were assigned to the particular layers. If you applied a texture using a certain mapping method inside Rhino, those resulting mapping coordinates will also be maintained inside KeyShot.

SolidWorks

Whether it’s a simple part broken out into separate bodies, a complex assembly or a unique configuration of an assembly, everything is transferred to KeyShot with the simple push of a button when using this plugin. Colors are maintained on the part level, including colors assigned to a face, surface, feature, or body. Once inside KeyShot, the entire assembly structure, along with all the names, is preserved as well, making it super-easy to navigate your model and assign the materials of your choice to create the most amazing rendering of your SolidWorks data ever.

Google SketchUp

This plugin not only maintains the geometry with all colors and textures, but also transfers the camera information to KeyShot. All you need to do is set up your model with the colors and textures you desire and dial in the preferred angle. If you have organized your model in groups, even better. These are also maintained inside KeyShot. Simply push the KeyShot button conveniently located in the main tool bar and within a matter of seconds, render perfection is unfolding in front of your eyes.
