They use a pencil to give an idea shape, CAD to turn that shape into form, and Keyshot to quickly photograph that form in a studio or worldly environment. The images they generate with Keyshot are the proof of their ideas – a convincing virtual background for critiques about function, styling, and materials. It has made rendering an organic part of the design process – pumping out images at something approaching the speed of thought; giving us the time to more fully consider how designs will be produced, marketed, distributed, consumed, and recycled.
