He Ye enhances product and brand value through design-driven innovation

I am He Ye, I work as an Industrial Design Director at Guangdong Macro Gas Appliance Co. Ltd., China, a founding pioneer in China’s water heater industry.

I’m have more than ten years of professional experience in kitchen and bathroom appliance industrial design, I focus on the deep integration of technological innovation, user experience and Oriental aesthetics, creating products that combine practical value with premium design quality. I specialize in end-to-end design management, from conceptual innovation and design development to engineering and mass production. I have always adhered to design-driven innovation to enhance product competitiveness and brand value.

When I engage in product design, I constantly reflect on the relationships between products, users and scenarios. I care deeply about whether a product is both aesthetically pleasing and functional — the ingenious structural logic behind its form, the rational thinking behind its beauty, and the human-centric care it conveys.

From sketching to 3D modeling, I truly enjoy the creative process of turning concepts into reality. I hope to create genuinely valuable, practical and durable products through industrial design.

Early project stage: After completing sketch design, I use modeling software together with KeyShot for rapid validation of conceptual CMF (Color, Material, Finish), lighting, shadows and textures.

Mid-to-late project stage: After confirming the specific design direction, I use KeyShot to produce high-precision renderings for scheme review and achievement presentations.

The real-time rendering function provides instant previews of material and lighting adjustments, while its extensive material library for home appliances (such as metal, glass, and matte plastic) allows quick matching of product surface finishes. The scene lighting and environment mapping features simulate real home settings, clearly demonstrating how products fit into actual living spaces.

It delivers fast rendering performance, enabling industrial designers like us to quickly produce high-quality visualizations. I have led my team to oversee benchmark projects including the A3 Compact Gas Water Heater and the torch for the 15th National Games. Design and Manufacturing of Torch for National-Level Events: as an official sponsor and equipment supplier for the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area National Games, we independently completed the exterior design and mass production of the “Blooming” torch, showcasing our capabilities in high-end design and precision manufacturing.
