President and CEO

Chip Foose has a lifetime of automotive design experience, from working as a young boy for his father’s company, Project Design, to creating a worldwide brand and hot-rod designs no one else could imagine. Since the early 80’s, he has developed concepts of proprietary designs and custom prototypes, held roles as chief designer and director of design, and defined the style of many vehicles over many years, until starting his own automotive and product development company, Foose Design, in 1998. His process was brought to millions in the television series OVERHAULIN’ where Chip and team transformed over 100 vehicles over 9 seasons. Chip’s legacy stretches far beyond the television show, however, with years of style-defining design, honors, awards, and induction into many automotive halls of fame and, ultimately, within the walls of Foose Design headquarters where, together with his wife Lynne, he continues to create the world’s most iconic automobile designs.

Brad Adelmann is a Visualization Lead with a BFA in Photography from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. His early career in car and fashion photography has served him well as he transitioned into CGI. This background instilled a sensitivity & instinctual feel for lighting and composition that translated seamlessly into KeyShot, and resonates in the sophisticated imagery he produces. Brad has created stills and motion for a who’s who of national and local clients in varied business sectors, from automotive to luxury products to packaged goods. His work is much in demand and has helped Armstrong White forge a renowned national presence in CGI.

Principal Industrial Designer

Curt Aumiller is the Director of Industrial Design at Samsung’s Think Tank Team in Silicon Valley. His team aims for real world impact by turning disruptive concepts into products that connect objects, environments, information and people. TTT spearheaded the creation of the Samsung Gear and Gear S2 and was responsible for creating the first true 3D Omniview camera known as Project Beyond.

He is a graduate from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Curt started his professional career working in various roles in the automotive industry, culminating in his role as a Senior Industrial Designer at Ford Motor Company. He then moved to the consumer electronics industry, working with the Microsoft hardware team and leading the Industrial Design effort for the next version of Microsoft’s touch table. He joined Samsung in 2012.

As Director of Industrial Design at Stanley Black and Decker, Jason’s role is to provide global leadership in the definition, design, and development of industry leading consumer power tools and outdoor power equipment.

Jason has been a catalyst, integrating new technology to support adjacent design functions all with a goal to optimize the user experience. These efforts further enhance and differentiate the strong brands of Stanley Black and Decker. Prior to working for Stanley Black and Decker, Jason started his career at Canadian Design Consultancy DW Product Development, working with and supporting various clients across a diverse set of markets and industries.

Jason has been recognized with several design awards, most recently receiving a 2015 IDSA IDEA Bronze award for DEWALT’s first entry into Professional Outdoor Equipment.

Manager of Industrial Design

Taiwon Choi is manager of Industrial Design of Fellowes Inc., a manufacturer of office products including paper shredders, binding and laminating equipment, air purifiers, desktop/mobile accessories, and record storage boxes located in Chicagoland area. Taiwon is a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received a MA in Design for Emerging Technologies.

He started his career as a footwear designer in S. Korea brining dozens of commercially successful designs to the market. Later, he was recruited by the largest shoe manufacturing company, KumKang, to lead a line for their casual sneakers. When he joined the Master program in Chicago, Taiwon recalibrated his skills towards a product designer and soon acclaimed his worthiness while working at a design consultancy of which led him to his current job, Fellowes Inc. He accumulated 6 utility patents and 36 design patents during his 15+ year career.

Currently at Fellowes, he is in charge of all industrial design ends over the entire range of business models that span consumer electronics to personal device accessories. He is on a mission to change the brand image from what were once function/feature oriented products into emotionally engaging products that are user experience driven.

Gustavo in an industrial designer with 15 years of experience. Raised in Argentina and Spain, he move to US to study design in Arizona State. He started his career in consulting firms in US such as Ziba, Fitch, and Essential. He did the freelance thing around Boston for many years and then started his own design studio where he worked with many clients including Bose, RIM, Boston Scientific and Kodak. Doing design as execution and selling it as a service got him bored and he decided to focus his career on his real passion: early conceptual work and creating new product categories.

He’s a very pragmatic designer/builder driven by practical, pure and honest solutions. And he believes in relentless execution and prototyping as a preferred method for developing intuitive and impossibly simple solutions.

By day Gustavo designs and manages an advanced development team of industrial design at a large corporation. By night he tinkers with other ideas to keep his mind fresh beyond his own industry. To complicate his life some more, he decided to recently start nimblstand, his own self-funded brand of made in the USA products for mobile computing.

Dave is the Design Director for Orbus Exhibit & Display Group, Woodridge, Illinois. As a graduate of the University of Illinois, with a degree in Industrial design, he has managed a team of exhibition designers for nearly 25 years, providing solutions for a nationwide sales force, as well as designing products such as “Flip” for the Orbus Exhibit & Display Group. Dave also adjunct teaches exhibition design at Columbia College in Chicago.

Esben Oxholm is freelance CG Artist holding a bachelor in product design engineering and a master in lighting design. He has been using KeyShot for 5+ years and it is his main tool for creating images and animations for small local as well as large international product design companies.

Besides creating visualizations himself, he also helps other to step up their KeyShot game. This happens through free tutorials and source files online and through on-site training at companies and design schools.”

Aaron Richmond is the Global Imaging Designer for Wilson Sporting Goods and is responsible for all retouching and image creation for the Golf Division of Wilson.

Aaron has over 13 years of experience in the world of image creation, manipulation, compositing and retouching. He began his career in the entertainment industry working at one of the top film industry’s advertising and marketing agencies in Hollywood. After a move to Portland, Oregon he shifted to the video game industry where he continued to hone his image making skills and began to incorporate 3D generated imagery.

Now as the Global Imaging Designer for Wilson he is blending his extensive experience as an image maker and combining it with the cutting-edge 3D rendering technology that KeyShot offers to break new ground and help define the next century of Wilson’s product imagery.

Igor Sobolevsky received his bachelors’ degree in Illustration as well as master’s degree in Industrial Design at Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently he is working in the fields of concept, industrial, and transportation design. He has been featured in 3D Artist, 3D World magazines as well as Robot Envy Zenith book. He consults and designs for firms in the fields of robotics, medical equipment, entertainment, as well as consumer electronics. Igor worked ZAGG, specializing in 3D graphics, advanced visualization and design. He was an instructor for graphic visualization at Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a recurring presenter at Thought at Work, an industrial design conference, where he discusses his process and techniques.

Steve Talkowski is a 3D digital artist that has worked as an Art Director, Animation Director, Character Designer/Modeler and Animator on a myriad of commercials for national brands as well as the feature films Joe’s Apartment, Ice Age, Alien Resurrection and the 1988 Academy Award winning short, Bunny. In 2008, Steve launched Sketchbot Studios and self-produced his first foray into the designer toy scene – the retro-styled, pencil-wielding robot, Sketchbot. Currently residing in Los Angeles, he is now in development on an animated TV series based on his robot creations.

Pip Tompkin was born in Nottingham, England. He graduated top of his year with 1st class honors majoring in Industrial Design from Northumbria University in Newcastle. He then attended the prestigious The Royal College of Art in London and gained a Masters of Industrial Design with a special examiners distinction. From 2001 -2005 he worked as a consultant to Dell, helping develop iconic and successful products for the gaming, education, consumer and enterprise markets. In 2005, he relocated to Los Angeles, accepting a Senior Design position at Nokia with a focus in developing phones for North American, European and Asian markets. During Pip’s three years at Nokia, his designs and thinking significantly increase sales of key products by millions, exceeding sales expectations. Pip also served on a board to create and align design strategies for Nokia’s Global portfolio. In December of 2008, Pip announced the launch of his design studio. Pip Tompkin’s philosophy, Assume Nothing together with his Big Think Big idea methodology, has helped develop award winning products and brands for numerous businesses; start-up and large corporations around the world. He actively promotes design education and his work has appeared in many publications.

Walters is an Industrial Designer who’s as comfortable designing/coding software as concept designing next generation products. He has been working in 3D since the 90’s and has authored both articles and books on 3D and 3D techniques. His YouTube Channel which deals with 3D applications and techniques has over 1000 subscribers. Early in his career, Walters was fortunate to co-found and CEO the Industrial Design firm Design Edge and the software design company Human Code, the latter which grew to 500+ with offices in San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo and Shanghai, and eventually sold to Sapient.
