DuPont Performance Coatings (DuPont) and Luxion have partnered together to link DuPont’s proprietary digital color rendering technologies with Luxion’s digital object rendering software. DuPont customers in the transportation and aerospace industry can now use KeyShot to match the exact paint needed for their products, seeing the change in real time without having to rely on physical samples.
DuPont colors can be downloaded as native KeyShot materials both individually or as a group.
To extend the DuPont material set provided with KeyShot 3.3, DuPont has launched a KeyShot material download site where users can search through and download four collections of paint offered by DuPont, with more being added in the future. The collections currently available are Popular colors, Trending colors, SpectraMaster® colors and DuPontTM Hot HuesTM line. With the capability to instantly apply and view dozens of accurate color coatings under real-world lighting conditions, users can make a decision with confidence, directly on the digital model, enhancing the product development, sales and marketing processes.

To use the colors within KeyShot, users simply select the colors they wish to use, download the zip file and unzip the files into their Material library. The new materials can be moved and organized in the Materials folder structure or within the KeyShot Library directly.
