Odd spotting with IES lighting
« on: January 11, 2014, 03:23:19 pm »
Hi all;
4.3.1.  Any idea what is causing this odd spotting when using IES lighting?  It only happens when a material is matte or slightly > heavily roughened.  #478 is the one I'm referring to.  HDR (kitchen) brightness is set at 0.30.

Hi Bill,

I haven't ran into that issue. Would you be able to share the file with us, so we can take a look? If so, please send to [email protected] If it's over 10 meg zipped, please use: https://keyshot.wetransfer.com/

Thanks,
Chad

I've also ran into this issue a couple of time, but when using Area light diffuse on a small surface area (i.e. LED chip)

I will see if I can put together a simple scene that demonstrates the issue.
