Rendering - Dries Vervoort - Watch in earthy theme
« on: May 06, 2012, 05:11:23 am »
Hi,

I decided to go for an earthy, wooden styled watch for this first entry.

greetings,
Dries

Well it's certainly an original choice of material. Not one I'd choose, but a refreshing take as a result :)

Cheers!

I slapped a new EV onto this one. Also put a the wood texture as a BG to accentuate the 'theme'.
I should rerun rendering on higher quality settings, though.

greetings,
Dries

You'll probably want to blur the back plate in PS or map it on a polygon, because DOF on the objects and then the background in focus as well is a real mind job lol

Cheers!

Yes, I agree on the DOF thing  ;).
I went ahead and applied blur to BG.

Dries

Okay, I reran the rendering today on higher quality.
Also I put it in a greenish & fresh background. Sort of like celebrating the arrival (finally...) of spring in Belgium.  ;)

Dries

Indeed it falls into the water again today ;p

Temperature is up a little though.

Hey I'm not complaining (yet) ... we've had great springs the past few years and then dismal summers ... now we've got a cold and wet spring .. let's wait and see what summer is like ;)
If summer is bad, THEN i'll be the first to complain ! :p
