Lofting Analysis with Rainbow Gradient (UPDATED)
« on: December 20, 2017, 02:59:41 pm »
Started on my 194 foot Steam Yacht "Medea", and needed to study the very complex lofting, always a challenge, especially in SolidWorks. The SW "Zebra Stripes" evaluation will drive you nuts!

Then I remembered the KeyShot 7 "Rainbow Gradient", in the misc. materials folder.  That plus a simple orbit animation did the trick!

Got a couple of hollows to smooth up, but not bad considering 18 lofts!

Rainbow Gradient is a great material for analysis of many complex shapes...

Updated the video above, and I'm quite pleased now with the hull lofting.  Starting on the details.
