Support importing of instanced objects from modelling software

Hi there,

Our workplace uses 3 Keyshot Pro Licenses and 1 64 core network rendering license. One thing we'd love to be able to do is use hundreds of grass and tree assets in a scene without taking up so many gigabytes of disc space. I can export .fbx files from 3Ds Max and enable 'preserve instances' on export, so when I import to other 3D applications, the file size is still very small. Sadly, this is not the case with Keyshot :( A 3mb .fbx once imported, makes the saved out .bip file a hundred times larger!

Keyshot's pattern tool is useful for small geometric patterns and that does make use instances, but for large organic surfaces we really need to be able to import instances!

Would anyone know whether this feature is on the development list?

We don't want to switch to V-Ray/Corona because Keyshot is so easy, but its seeming more and more likely every time we see our competitor's renders.
