Forum updated
« on: June 02, 2017, 11:55:08 am »
The forum has been updated to the latest version. Hopefully, this will address some of the spam we have seen lately. Unfortunately, the update process was not completely smooth and it interfered with our custom theme, so we had to go back to the default theme for now.

Looks fine to me, if it means getting rid of the spam. Thanks for fixing that, it was getting really annoying!

One thing that I've noticed is that some images that are posted in high res need to be panned when viewing them in the OP space. In the old UI it seemed like all images were scaled to fit. It could be a browser thing, I am using the latest version of FireFox and need to zoom in to see enough of the forum to read. I thought that the zoom factor may have something to do with it but after a little checking, it appears not.
Of course clicking on the image to open in its own tab allows you to zoom in for the full benefit of the render.

+1 on Harold's issue. A bit annoying but nothing serious. As for the feedback, this one was the first forum that i actually made an account in, and that was because it looked nothing like other forums :P It was a bit easier to read in my opinion and i didn't get lost anywhere.

Well, the new forum design is back... can't say I'm pleased ;)

Is it just me, or does it look large and chunky, like a large print version...

Just logged in. I thought I had my magnification zoomed in, everything seems really huge.
I personally prefer the old version, it was very different than anyone else's look. Understand if it will help with the spam.

Since the change over I do have to log in every time I visit now, even though I have the "keep me logged in forever" box ticked.

Hi everyone, since there is some various preference on the style of the forum, we've set up the option to choose the old, default SMF theme.

To select the old, default theme:
1. Go to Profile > Modify Profile > Look and Layout
2. Under Current Theme, select (change)
3. Select 'Use this theme' under SMF Default Theme - Curve

That's it. Let us know if you have any questions.

Nope, when I navigate to my profile look and layout manually or click the link you provided, there is no way to change theme - please see attached screenshot :)

Unless of course I'm being dumb... not unheard of I'm afraid ;)
