Retain Materials looses scale

Hi guys, a little problem here so just checking to make sure I am doing things right ...

Step 1: Import model using appropriate units of scale, cm in this case
Step 2: Apply materials just a simple Mold-Tech
Step 3: Set up lighting and camera view etc
Step 4: Run the script to import the next model of an animated seqOBJ with the following settings set through the KS Import File dialog ...

New Geometry
Keep Original Location
Size = cm
Y = up
Env and Cam un-tick both options
Keep Individual Parts and Retain Materials both checked
Calc Normals = Ticked

The first frame renders as expected but each frame thereafter looses the Mold-Tech bump texture.

Any hints appreciated

With the latest beta build 6.2.72 the retaining materials has stopped working all together :/
