Importing Maya 2015 .mb files to KeyShot

I have tried doing this several way and still no joy.
When I attempt to import a maya .mb or .ma file into keyshot I am presented with:

"...does not contain 3d geometry. You may need to export polygonal data from your modeling system."

I can export and import .obj files from Maya to KeyShot, but I lose my texture data that I setup in Maya. Does anyone know why I'm getting this error? I just bought this and I thought, at first, that there was a plug-in from Maya to KeyShot that allowed you to bring Maya models into KeyShot with the push of one button (similarly to ZBrush).

Can anyone help me?

Hi

It ought to work, but the "missing polygonal data" does say that it does not work for you.

First of all the machine where you are doing the import do need to have Maya installed.

Which version are you using? 5.?
Could you send the scene?

With Keyshot6 there will be a Maya plugin as similar to ZBrush.
