The image url is not accessible. Please upload and attach to your original post.

Thank you, Bruno! Fixed.
Strangely, somehow those links from GoogleDrive are just working for a short while.

Scripting / Re: Beyond the "Render images" examples script
« Last post by Niko Planke on July 17, 2019, 11:27:13 pm »
Hello Marc,

The function lux.setMaterialTemplate() should do the trick.
Just call it multiple times with different templates and it will apply multiple material templates.

If you feel adventurous or want more control, you can use a combination of  the lux.getSceneTree(), .find() and .setMaterial() to directly apply you materials.

Did you check the scripting documentation at: https://www.keyshot.com/scripting/doc/8.2/ already? if not i would highly suggest you check what is currently possible and bookmark it.

Bugs and crashes / Re: NR 8.2.98 Interior mode and Region render bug

Hello DMerz III,

Thank you for posting. This issue has been reported by a handful of users during the last two weeks. I will be sure to make sure that it gets to the right department. I'm not sure that we will be releasing any new KeyShot 8 updates, but a patch may be a possibility. It all depends on the severity and impact of this issue. Below you will find some workarounds that worked for other users:

1. Disable "Global Illumination" under Project > Lighting.

SOLIDWORKS / Re: How to replace imported step file in Keyshot ?
« Last post by MWo on July 17, 2019, 03:39:33 pm »
Just a few simple steps:
- save current scene before the update (important, there’s no undo after geometry update!)
- Import the new step file into the the
  - use options: add to scene and update geometry

If that fails, reload the saved scene (open latest scene, without saving current failed one)

Then add a new empty model set (pro feature) and add the new step into that model set. Use the option retain material.
Also you can create a material template of the old parts and apply that material template on the new model set. This works even if you changed the model (assembly)structure inside KeyShot.

Sorry for the short writing (used a mobile)

Hope that helps
Cheers
Marco

SOLIDWORKS / How to replace imported step file in Keyshot ?
« Last post by jwongdesign on July 17, 2019, 02:51:30 pm »
Hi,

Just spent the last hour trying to figure out if it is possible to replace an updated step file that’s been imported into keyshot without reimporting, reassigning materials, labels and positioning? Please help.
