Title: Rendering - Max Steffen - UPDATE
Post by: MaxST on May 22, 2012, 09:04:18 am
Hello guys,

Please find below my submission to this contest.
It is a personal project called UPDATE. A stainless steel pocket watch w/ a PVD coating and linear time mesurement.
I use KeyShot as an industrial designer. Unfortunately making renderings is only a short part in a long process.
But that's where I see KeyShot's strength - fast, efficient high aesthetic results.

Don't hesitate to comment or advise on how to improve.

Thanks and Regards,
Max

Cool looking design!  Is that like a modern pocket watch?  How do you read the bar on the bottom left?

Yes - it is a classic clockwork Unitas/Eta but the casing is in modern formal language.
The bar shows the the last 20 minutes - and you read it like every other watch.
What usually is in a circle is here aligned and the cursors still point on the same minute/hour position.
(time indications printed on the glass)

I saw your submissions - very nice work - extraordinary!
