Back-End Software Developer

Luxion is looking for a skilled software developer with experience or special interest in back end technologies like PHP, AWS and databases to improve our products and services. You will join an international, skilled, cross-functional and self-driven team that apart from development also includes support, QA and UX design.


Luxion develops and sells KeyShot, the fastest and easiest rendering software on the market. With KeyShot, Luxion has revolutionised an otherwise complex process from 3D geometry to photo-realistic images and animations. Our users tell us that KeyShot is almost addictively easy to use – a pure pleasure to work with. Luxion’s customer list includes many Fortune 100 companies such as Google, Chrysler, Fossil, Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Victoria’s Secret, HP, Microsoft, Philips, Under Armour, Adidas and many more.

The job

As a software developer at Luxion with a special focus on back-end technologies you would contribute to many important services in relation to our 3D rendering products. You would improve performance and functionality of our cloud hosted digital materials and 3D model library. You can help us gain valuable knowledge from logging and crash-logs through automated collection and analytics of such data. You can be the driving force in our future licensing system.

You will take part in our bi-weekly sprint planning as well as long-term planning, where you get to have an impact on the problems you want to help solve. You will be part of a close-knit team of developers who are happy to help and provide critical feedback.

Your qualifications

The ideal candidate is expected to have an educational background as a Computer Scientist, IT Engineer or equivalent.

Furthermore, we expect you to have:

  • Experience with PHP, Amazon Web Services, Databases, C++
  • Understanding of front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
  • Ability to manage a hosting environment, including database administration as well as scaling applications to handle load changes
  • Knowledge of accessibility and security compliance 
  • Experience with version control, such as Git
  • Speak and write fluent English
