AWS Cloud Engineer

Luxion is the global leader of product design rendering software. Thousands of companies around the globe use Luxion’s main product, KeyShot, for a multitude of use cases. This includes creating photo-real visualizations of CAD data for marketing, evaluating materials and textures ahead of production, and providing interactive product visualizations and 3D animations for stakeholders across the design lifecycle. In short, they help companies make better decisions, faster.
Founded in 2003, Luxion has offices in Denmark and the US, and has a global footprint with a large portfolio of customers including Google, Microsoft, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Rolex, Chrysler, and many more.
You will join our Web & Cloud team, consisting of 7 team members, who deliver key services for our users and partners to extend our KeyShot rendering products. Our Web & Cloud services are key elements our new business strategy and the team has large impact on the future roadmap. The Web & Cloud team is on a journey to become a full DevOps team with cross functional skills as a focus point. Therefore, recently we have also expanded the team with a dedicated Product Owner, DevOps engineer and UX designer.

“Within the coming years, we will continue to develop services either from “scratch”, modify existing or incorporating of the shelf solutions – based on team evaluation and ROI. We have focus on defining and building the core features and then deliver incremental improvements as we get experiences and feedback from the customers and users” (Product Owner, Lars Lorentzen).
As our new AWS Cloud Engineer, you will contribute to developing our new state-of-the-art cloud-based services complementing our 3D rendering software products. You will be part of a cross-functional and self-empowered scrum team in which you will:
- Work with a broad range of languages and technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, Docker, Angular, and more
- Identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based and serverless solutions for a given feature
- Improve and manage our growing ecosystem of AWS microservices
- Support the team ambition of continuous integration and deployment
- Perform code reviews and verification of other team members work to ensure high quality and knowledge sharing
We are looking for several team members, so your profile background could be both extensive or less..
You have an educational background within IT or web development and have experience with:
- Core AWS services and AWS architecture best practices
- Software development in NodeJs
- Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform
- ES6 and TypeScript
- Experience in serverless and event driven application design
- Automated testing on all levels
Youare a team player who enjoys collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the team about improving software skills and deployment. No challenge is too big, and none too small. You have a proactive quality-minded attitude and the ability to work systematic and confident with new challenges.
Our primary working language is English, and since our colleagues come from all over the world, it is vital that you speak and write English at professional efficiency.
